The teaching in the Internship Academy is given by respected and proven leaders of MFG. These men and women have been a part of MFG for many years and the subjects they teach, they also walk in.
Subjects are Bible-based and foundational for the life of a Christian. Some of those include ‘Integrity, Ethics, Balance, Davidic Worship, Building Relationships, and the Importance of the Local Church.’ These subjects are key biblical principles of our Christian faith, all of which are actively applied within the life of the church.
Whether you are an instrumentalist, singer or have an interest in PA and recording, then there is a music lab for you.
Covering topics such as playing in a band, vocal workshops, worship leading, songwriting, guitar, theory, recording demos and many more, the labs cover all you need to develop music in your church.
In a world where high quality media is the norm, and first impressions are critical it’s important that the Church steps up to be heard above all the noise. We have the greatest message, but does the way we communicate the gospel through our church media reflect this?
Aimed at all skill levels, this years media lab will cover a whole range of mediums; web design, print, video, photography, motion graphics and audio. Return to your church with the skills to produce media that your church will be proud to use!
The practical days occur throughout the Internship year. Each intern is released in hands-on work in the various businesses of the church. These include: Fizzy Lizard Play gym, Centre Coffee, Centre Books & Crafts,
Cathedral Mice Parent & Toddler Group and the Church Offices.
Interns will get to experience the background works of an active church through the day-to-day activities and events.
Practical Days are more than just hands on work, it is an opportunity to see how Church functions while learning team work, communication and excellence.
Interns will also get to experience a mission trip
abroad to places such as Africa, Europe, India or the
Americas. The trip will take place working alongside
churches that are in relationship with us; this will help
expand the intern’s understanding of the Kingdom as
we take some weeks out to serve our brothers and
sisters in these countries.

I decided to do the internship to be more effective in my church, now I really received what I wanted. My thinking was always about myself, my family, my comfort, my happiness, but the internship absolutely changed the direction of my thinking and moved my focus from myself to God.

Internship is a life changing
experience. It brought a revelation and an understanding of God and His plan for me. I found out who I really was and who God wanted me to be and I grew as a person and as a Christian. It was challenging, fun and real. The best year of my life.

For me the Internship was the best
experience of my life! I learned so much during these 10 months, for example, how church is so important in our lives and the plan that God has for my life. These 10 months have changed my way of thinking. It has made me into a man of God and I know that in every situation I go through, He will be in control.

The internship year was full of
challenges which I overcame with God and an amazing group of people around me. It has given me a better understanding of Church and God’s plan over my life. I know that everything I learned during the year, I will be able to apply in my local church. It not only changed my thinking but my whole life!
